§ MR. J. G. TALBOTasked the Vice President of the Committee of Council, When he can lay upon the Table the Instructions to Her Majesty's Inspectors, of which he spoke in a Debate in this House before Easter; and, whether he can now name a time at which he hopes to move the Education Estimates?
§ MR. MUNDELLABefore settling the revised instructions to Inspectors it is necessary that the Department should be in possession of the recommendations 443 made by the divisional conferences of Her Majesty's Inspectors. The recommendations of almost all the divisions are now in the hands of the Department, and the instructions referred to, which require very careful consideration, will be published as soon as possible. I am hoping to bring on the Education Estimates somewhat earlier than, usual this year. I expect to get a day soon after the Whitsun Holidays.
