HC Deb 12 May 1884 vol 288 c12
COLONEL O'BEIRNE

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether Pensioners, at present serving in the Auxiliary Forces, will be permitted to give up their pensions, for the purpose of reverting to their Army engagement, provided they are within the limits of age and are pronounced to be fit for service?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

Yes; it is proposed to amend the Royal Warrant, so that the pensioners referred to may be able to resume their Army engagements, subject to special rules.
