HC Deb 05 May 1884 vol 287 c1306
DR. LYONS (for Mr. FAY)

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Whether it is the fact that the first clerk in insolvency at the Court of Bankruptcy has performed in Ireland the duties of chief clerk in insolvency since the death of that official in 1881 without having received any remuneration for such additional work?

MR. COURTNEY

The statement is correct; but the duties in question are almost nominal. The clerk is adequately paid for all his duties.
