HC Deb 05 May 1884 vol 287 c1299
MR. E. STANHOPE

asked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the Correspondence between the India Office and the Government of India, on the subject of the proposed changes in the Indian Army system, is approaching completion; and, if so, when he will be able to lay it upon the Table?

MR. J. K. CROSS

The Correspondence in question is now practically complete; and if the hon. Member will move for it, there will be no objection to presenting it. I may suggest, with regard to the Report of the Commission and the Appendices, which are exceedingly voluminous, that it will be sufficient to place them in the Library without distributing copies.
