HC Deb 24 March 1884 vol 286 c595
MR. O'BRIEN

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it is true that Denis Deasy, at present undergoing penal servitude at Chatham Convict Prison, is dangerously ill; and, whether the improbability of his recovery is such as to warrant his discharge from prison?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

Sir, this prisoner has been seriously ill, and, by the last Report, he was unfit to be removed. I have ordered a further account to be given to me in the matter, and will consider what is to be done in it.
