HC Deb 11 March 1884 vol 285 c1197
THE CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS

moved— That Standing Orders Nos. 203 and 214 be amended by leaving out 'Doorkeepers,' and inserting 'Vote Office.' He stated that a mere verbal alteration was required in these Standing Orders, in order to carry out a change which had been made in regard to the arrangements of the House. Hitherto Private Bills had been delivered by the doorkeepers, and it was considered expedient that in future they should be delivered at the Vote Office.

Motion agreed to.
