HC Deb 04 March 1884 vol 285 c493
MR. O'BRIEN (for Mr. HEALY)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he can state how many fair rent cases have yet to be heard in Mayo; and, whether there is any truth in the report that at the end of this month the number of Sub-Commissioners hearing cases is to be reduced?

MR. TREVELYAN

Sir, it is estimated that at the end of the present month there will remain about 850 cases to be disposed of in the County of Mayo. The question of the reduction of the number of Sub-Commissioners is now under consideration.
