SAMUELSONasked the President of the Board of Trade, Whether it is true that the Ratifications of the International Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property have been exchanged; and, if so, when it is intended to issue the Order in Council required by the Patents Act of 1883, in order that the Convention may take effect as between this Country and the other States which are parties to the Convention?
§ MR. CHAMBERLAINThe ratifications of the International Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property were exchanged on the 6th instant. A draft Order in Council has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Patents Act, 1883, and the Order will be issued at as early a date as possible, so that the Convention may come into operation on July 7.
