HC Deb 12 June 1884 vol 289 c81
MR. LEWIS FRY

asked the First Commissioner of Works, What steps have been taken with the view of affording increased accommodation at the Head Post Office at Bristol; and, whether he can bold out any prospect of the speedy removal of the great inconvenience now existing?

MR. SHAW LEFEVRE

We are now negotiating for the purchase of property for the extension of the Bristol Post Office; but there is a difficulty arising, from a great difference of opinion as to the value of the property we desire to acquire; and, until that is settled, no buildings can be commenced.
