MR. FRANCIS BUXTON

asked the President of the Board of Trade, Whether the map defining the Metropolitan urban districts for Railways, as settled by the Board of Trade, has yet been issued to the various Railway Companies; and, if so, whether he will lay a Copy of such map upon the Table of the House; and, whether such "urban districts" have been certified as being— Within areas which have continuous urban, as distinguished from a rural or suburban, character, and contains a population of not less than 100,000 inhabitants?

MR. CHAMBERLAIN

There will be no objection to lay the map referred to upon the Table of the House, and it will be accompanied by a certificate that will show that the district has been defined in accordance with the terms of the Act of Parliament.
