§ MR. GIBSONI wish to ask the Secretary of State for War a Question of which I have given him private Notice. Is General Graham, who is to command the relief expedition, at present at Cairo; and when did Colonels Buller and Stewart leave London?
THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONGeneral Graham is not at present in Cairo. I believe he is on duty upon the Nile, but he is expected at Cairo tomorrow. If he did not return as soon as expected, the command of the expedition was to be taken by General Dormer. Colonel Buller and Colonel Stewart, who also hold commands, left London for Egypt on Tuesday evening.
