HC Deb 22 April 1884 vol 287 c277
MR. ION HAMILTON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether favourable consideration will be given to the Memorial of the Township Commissioners of Kingstown, praying that a portion of the Harbour, now but little used, should be converted into a graving dock, to meet the growing requirements of the port of Dublin?

MR. COURTNEY

The Memorial of the Kingstown Commissioners has been duly considered, and will be answered immediately. There appears to be nothing in the circumstances of the case to justify the suggested expenditure of public money on what would be a commercial speculation.
