HC Deb 07 April 1884 vol 286 c1802
MR. R. N. FOWLER (LORD MAYOR)

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the Bill which he proposes to introduce on Tuesday, for a new Municipality of London, will be in the hands of Members on Wednesday morning?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT,

in reply, said, that the Government were extremely anxious that the Bill should be circulated as soon as possible. The right hon. Gentleman knew, however, that it could not be printed until the Order of the House was made, and he was afraid it would not be ready for general delivery until Thursday next. But he had given directions that every effort should be made to have it distributed as soon as possible.
