HC Deb 21 May 1883 vol 279 c584
SIR H. DRUMMOND WOLFF

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, When it was intended to bring in the measures in substitution for the Contagious Diseases Acts, and the Bill for the protection of young girls?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT,

in reply, said, that in the absence of his noble Friend the Secretary of State for War, he could not state when the measures in substitution for the Contagious Diseases Acts would be brought in. It was expected that the Bill for the protection of young girls would be introduced in the House of Lords next week.
