asked, Whether, in the event of any Militia regiments being obliged to make any change in their uniform, the propriety of giving some compensation to the officers of such regiments, for the expenses to which they might be put, will be taken into consideration?

MR. BRAND

Sir, there is no present intention of making any changes in the uniform of the Militia, other than those prescribed in 1881. Where those changes have still to be made, an allowance of £25 is granted in aid of the cost of the new uniform, if the alteration is of a complete character
