§ MR. E. STANHOPEsaid, he would ask permission to call attention to the Notice of Motion which stood in his name for that evening. He desired simply to move that it was necessary that early steps should be taken to reduce the expenditure. The concluding part of the Resolution, which suggested the appointment of a Committee, was not contained in his Notice; but it was an addendum to be moved by some other Member, which, by mistake, had been printed as part of his Motion.
