HC Deb 03 May 1883 vol 278 c1725
MR. CALLAN

asked the Prime Minister a Question of which he had not given him Notice, but which he would, no doubt, be able to answer—namely, Whether it was true that Mr. Bradlaugh had been proposed as a member of the National Liberal Club; whether his election had been postponed; and, if so, whether it had been made contingent on the passing of the Affirmation Bill or the recantation of his Atheistical opinions?

[No answer was given to the Question.]
