§ MR. HERBERT GLADSTONEThe total number of dealings with estates at the Land Registry in the year 1882 was 648; and the value of those placed on the register (in the technical sense) was £1,103,000. But the number placed on the register for the first time was only 14, and their value about £120,000.
§ MR. ARTHUR ARNOLDsaid, that in Committee of Supply he should call attention to the fact that only 14 estates had been registered during the past year, and that he should move a reduction of £2,000 on the Vote.
