HC Deb 16 March 1883 vol 277 c702

Resolutions [March 15] reported.

GENERAL SIR GEORGE BALFOUR

asked whether any portion of the Vote granted for Public Works would be applied to the works at Dover Harbour?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

said, it was usual not to proceed with new works on a Vote on Account, but to await the sanction of the House for the full Vote.

Resolutions agreed to.
