§ COLONEL COLTHURSTasked the Secretary of State for War, If he would explain why the soldiers' families of the Enniskillen Dragoons have not yet been allowed to proceed to Natal, the regiment having been there now for more than two years?
THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONThe families of the soldiers of the Enniskillen Dragoons have not been sent out to Natal, not only because accommodation for the families of soldiers is deficient, but primarily because of the great uncertainty which has existed as to the length of time during which it might be requisite to keep the regiment in the 1153 Colony. I trust it will not be necessary I to keep the regiment there much longer.
