§ MR. TREVELYANI am informed that the circumstances are as stated. I cannot take it upon myself to offer a legal opinion as to whether or not the tenants have any remedy; but if, as described in the Question, the advantages of which they have been deprived were "privileges" accorded to them by their landlord, and not legal rights, it seems to me doubtful whether any legal redress could be sought. I understand that in some of the cases referred to appeals are pending, and that it is expected that when the appeals have been heard, some arrangements will be come to as to the cutting of turf and sea-weed.
