§ MR. LEAMYasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether the Local Government Board is yet in a position to express an opinion on the action of their auditor in refusing to allow the reductions granted by the Corporation of Wexford to its tenants on account of bad seasons?
§ MR. TREVELYANSir, the matter remains as it was when I answered the hon. Member's former Question last week. The auditor has reserved his decision until his next audit, and the Local Government Board are not called upon to express any opinion on the matter unless it comes before them on appeal, which could only happen in the event of a surcharge being made.
