§ LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICEHer Majesty's ship Dryad is at Tamatave, and Her Majesty's ship Dragon, which was ordered on the 24th ultimo to proceed there from Zanzibar, has, no doubt, already arrived. The commanders of these vessels have instructions to take, in concert with Her Majesty's Consul, such measures as they may deem necessary for the protection of the lives and property of British subjects.
