§ SIR THOMAS BRASSEYSir, half-yearly Reports are rendered to the Admiralty during the first commission of a ship, and yearly Reports during the second commission. It is not considered necessary to continue the Reports on ships for a longer period, as their qualities will have been fully tested in two commissions.
