§ MR. R. N. FOWLERasked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign 1887 Affairs, Whether Her Majesty's Government have complained to the Government of Japan of the restrictions imposed on the importation of drugs and chemicals into that Country?
§ LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICEMy Predecessor stated, in reply to a Question by my hon. Friend on the 6th of November last, that Her Majesty's Government were not aware that there had been any interference with the importation of drugs and other chemicals into Japan other than medicinal opium. No cause has arisen for any complaint since the date of that reply.
