asked, Whether the Government would carry out its undertaking for a further discussion on the question of East Indian Expenditure?

MR. GLADSTONE

said, he had twice referred to this subject already. What appeared to be the opinion of the House was, that, although the middle of July might mean the 15th or 16th of the month, they could not look so strictly at the matter, especially having regard to the approaching termination of the Committee on the Tenants' Compensation Bill.
