§ MR. O'DONNELLasked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether it is true that Native gentlemen in Hyderabad, who were engaged in the opposition against the terms of a Railway 49 concession to a London Company, have been forcibly deported from Hyderabad with the sanction of the British authorities and conveyed to British territory; and, what offence was committed by the opponents of the Railway scheme, and why they were not brought to trial instead of being removed to British territory?
§ MR. J. K. CROSSSir, in reply to this Question, I can only say that there has been considerable feeling shown in Hyderabad—under the mistaken idea that the Government of India were endeavouring to force upon the Nizam's Government a certain railway scheme. We have no official Report of what has occurred; but the Government of India will be asked to furnish one.
