HC Deb 26 February 1883 vol 276 c852
MR. GEORGE RUSSELL

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he is in a position to inform the House if there is any truth in reports appearing 'in certain newspapers to-day as to interviews alleged to have been had with James Carey, the informer, and as to statements alleged to have been made by him?

MR. TREVELYAN

I am very glad my hon. Friend has given me an opportunity of referring to this matter, and to say that certainly there have not been any interviews.
