asked the Vice President of the Council, Whether, in view of the present outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Ireland, the Privy Council propose to take any measures to restrict the importation of cattle from that Country into Great Britain?

MR. MUNDELLA

Yes, Sir; we have to-day passed an Order authorizing local authorities in Great Britain to prohibit or regulate the importation of animals into their respective districts from the districts of any local authority in the United Kingdom.
