§ Resolved, That it is expedient to authorise the Commissioners for the Reduction of the National Debt to lend, out of moneys in their hands on account of Trustee and Post Office Savings Banks, sums payable by the Treasury in redemption of any permanent annuities charged on the Consolidated Fund or moneys provided by Parliament, and also to authorise the repayment of such loans by the creation of terminable annuities charged upon the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom.
