MELDONasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ire- 405 land, Whether the Government propose to introduce a Bill during the present Session to amend the Law relating to the Registration of Voters in Ireland on the lines of the measure which passed the House of Commons in the first Session of this Parliament, and which was rejected on the Second Reading by the House of Peers on the ground of the late period same was passed by this House; and, if so, when such introduction will take place?
§ MR. TREVELYANThe Government propose to introduce a Bill on the same lines as that which passed the House of Commons in 1880. The Bill will be introduced whenever there is a prospect of pressing it forward.
