HC Deb 22 August 1883 vol 283 c1711

Order for Second Reading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."—(Mr. Hibbert.)

MR. ONSLOW

protested against these measures being proceeded with after a quarter to 6 o'clock, after the promise of the noble Marquess (the Marquess of Hartington).

LORD RICHARD GROSVENOR

said, the noble Marquess's promise extended to only three measures which would not be proceeded with after a quarter to 6 o'clock, and these had been disposed of.

MR. ONSLOW

objected to the Bill being taken now.

Second Reading deferred till To-morrow.
