§ COLONEL NOLANasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If any body, beard, or authority in Ireland is at present in possession of a portable hospital which can be put at the disposal of any union in which cholera may break out; and, if any beard, office, or person in Ireland has authority to occupy any site which it or he may think the best for a temporary cholera hospital?
§ MR. TREVELYANSir, in two or three cases the sanitary authorities have floating hospitals, or other hospitals, for infectious diseases; but, so far as we know, there is no body or authority at present in possession of a portable hospital, which can be put at the disposal of another authority in whose district cholera may break out. Every sanitary authority has power to provide a temporary hospital for the use of its own district.
§ COLONEL NOLANsaid, he desired an answer to the second part of his Question.
§ MR. TREVELYANsaid, the authority could be given under Provisional Order.
