asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office, Whether any further information had been received at the War Office as to the health of our troops in Egypt?

SIR ARTHUR HAYTER

Yes, Sir; in reply to my right hon. Friend, I have to read the following telegram received at the War Office to-day from the General commanding in Egypt, which shows that the improvement is maintained:— August 3.—General health good; continued improvement. Telegram from El Wahdan, cholera becoming less virulent. At first every case proved fatal; now many becoming convalescent.
