§ MR. HEALYI wish to ask why it is that the Constabulary and Police Administration (Ireland) Bill is not yet printed? Leave was obtained the other night to introduce the Bill, and when the Chief Secretary proposed to introduce it on Friday night last he had, a 1295 draft of it before him. It is now Wednesday, and surely sufficient time has elapsed to have it printed. We know, of course, that the Government intend to abandon the Bill; but although it is to be abandoned, surely it ought to be printed, as leave has been obtained to introduce it. In the absence of the Chief Secretary, I would ask the Attorney General for Ireland to explain the matter.
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. PORTER)I am not able to give any information in reference to the matter at all.
§ LORD RICHARD GROSVENORI am not in a position to give any information.
