MR. JOSEPH COWENasked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, If he has any objection to lay upon the Table of the House the Protocol of the European Danubian Commission of the 2nd of June 1882, in order to make intelligible the proceedings of the recent Conference recorded in "The Danube (No. 2, 1883);" and, if he has any objection, if he will be so kind as to state to the House what are the reasons for such objection?
§ LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICEThere is no objection, Sir, on the part of Her Majesty's Government to lay upon the Table the Protocol in question; but, before doing so, it will be necessary in the usual course to obtain the consent of those Governments whose Commissioners were also parties to it. There will consequently be some slight delay before it is in the hands of hon. Members.
