§ LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICE,in reply, said, that Her Majesty's Government had some days ago heard of a report that the French had seized Am-loan go Black Port, to the North of the Congo, and beyond the limits of the territory claimed by Portugal. The French Government, however, in reply to Lord Lyons, stated that they had received no intelligence of the alleged occupation.
