asked the Chairman of the Metropolitan Board of Works, Whether they are proceeding 1813 with their four now schemes under the Artizans' and Labourers' Dwellings Acts, 1875–82; and, at what stage they at present stand?
§ SIR JAMES M'GAREL-HOGG
, in reply, said, he begged to inform his right hon. Friend that the Metropolitan Board was proceeding with the four schemes referred to, and that the local inquiries made, under the direction of the Secretary of State for the Home Department, had been concluded in each case. If the Secretary of State, on the report of the local Inspector, approved the schemes, Provisional Orders would, no doubt, be issued and confirmed in the usual manner.
