HC Deb 02 April 1883 vol 277 c1153
MR. GIBSON

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether an appointment has as yet been made to the office of Law Adviser in succession to the present Solicitor General for Ireland; if not, what is the cause of the delay, and when will the appointment he made?

MR. TREVELYAN

It has not yet been thought necessary to fill up the office of Law Adviser. The Government have been considering the arrangements connected with the legal assistance required at Dublin, and they are still considering the matter.
