asked the Lord Advocate, Whether the Fishery Board in Edinburgh will make public the proposed new regulations respecting the branding of herrings, before finally adopting them, in order that those interested may have an opportunity, if they see fit, of making representations to the Board in regard to any modifications on the existing system?

The Fishery Board have under consideration the whole regulations regarding the branding of herrings; and in the event of their deeming it expedient to make any important alterations upon these regulations, the proposed changes will be made public before being adopted, so that persons interested in the fishery may have an opportunity of communicating their views to the Board.
