HC Deb 30 October 1882 vol 274 cc373-4
MR. NORWOOD

asked the Under Secretary of Sate for Foreign Affairs, Whether his attention has been called to the considerable development, of late, of the industrial and commercial resources of Mexico; and, whether the Government are continuing their efforts to bring about a renewal of diplomatic relations with that Country on a satisfactory basis?

SIR CHARLES W. DILKE

Her Majesty's Government would be very glad to renew relations with Mexico; but the difficulties in the way are considerable.
