§ MR. TREVELYANThe Report of the Commission referred to in this Question has not yet been received by the Government. I cannot say whether it will be presented to Parliament. The gratuity, roughly estimated at £180,000, has been distributed among the Force on the terms approved by the Irish Government and the Treasury, with the exception of a few outstanding claims. As the known expenditure amounts to little over £160,000, the amount necessary to meet the claims would appear to have been over-estimated.
