§ MR. TREVELYANThe Report of the Committee is in type, and I have seen a copy of it; but it is not yet ready for public circulation. The question of how the convicts now confined in Spike Island Prison should be provided for is not dealt with in that Report, having been postponed until there has been time for the Government to give further attention to the subject.
