asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether he would move the adjournment of the debate to-night in sufficient time to give his hon. Friend the Member for Northampton an opportunity of bringing on his important Motion.

After the experience of last night, Sir, I am not much encouraged to make premature attempts at adjournment. I think we shall endeavour to make as much progress as we can.
