§ SIR ARTHUR HAYTERIn the unavoidable absence of the Secretary of State for War, I beg to say, in reply to the hon. Gentleman the Member for Clare, that Army Pensioners under 50 years of age are liable by statute to be called out for service at homo in the event of a national emergency; and, consequently, these could not be permitted to receive their pension if residing abroad. To those who are over 50 years of age, and consequently not liable to serve, no such prohibition applies; and many do, in fact, receive their pensions in foreign countries.
