HC Deb 02 November 1882 vol 274 c656
MR. DALY

asked the Postmaster General, Whether it is true the Post Office authorities have under consideration the project of forwarding the mails to America from Holyhead, instead of from Queenstown, as at present; and, if so, by whom is the expenditure (estimated at £150,000) necessary to provide accommodation at Holyhead to be made?

MR. FAWCETT

There is no such intention, Sir.
