HC Deb 02 November 1882 vol 274 c626
MR. ERRINGTON

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether his attention has been directed to the urgent necessity of adopting some means for providing a largely increased supply of trained teachers for Elementary Schools in Ireland, nearly seventy per cent, of the actual teachers being entirely without training?

MR. TREVELYAN

I can only assure my hon. Friend that the subject has engaged my attention.
