HC Deb 26 May 1882 vol 269 cc1710-1
MR. AKERS-DOUGLAS

asked the Secretary of State for the Homo Department, Whether his attention has been called to the report of a recent meeting of the Social Democratic Working Men's Club, where a resolution was unani- mously adopted approving of the recent murders in the Phœnix Park; and, whether it is the intention of the Government to take any steps in the matter with a view to prevent public incitements to murder?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

I have not seen any report of the meeting to which the hon. Member refers; but certainly the Government will take all means in their power to prevent incitements to murder, in whatever shape they may be made.
