MR. GORSTasked leave to bring in a Bill to amend the Law of Copyright relating to Musical Compositions. He explained that recently persons had been prosecuted for singing songs at penny readings, &c., without the leave of the owner; and he proposed that no action should be brought against a person for singing a song without leave, unless it was announced on the music that the right of public performance was reserved by the owner.
