HC Deb 04 May 1882 vol 269 cc97-8
MR. R. POWER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury, If he has now any objection to allow the name of Mr. Parnell to remain on the Printing Committee?

MR. GLADSTONE

Sir, in the absence of my noble Friend (Lord Frederick Cavendish), who is disabled for the moment by indisposition, I rise to answer this Question. Unquestionably, there is no objection to the name remaining. It is not for us to make any difference or distinction between Members of Parliament who are able to attend in this House and discharge their duty.

MR. R. POWER

said, after that answer, he should withdraw his opposition to the appointment of the Committee.
